An Open Letter

Dear Body,

There are wants and there are needs.

You want more sleep, I need 6:30AM yoga.

I am sorry to do this to you this week when my sleep schedule has become erratic and I am giving you 4 hours here and there all willy nilly at strange times during the day/night.

I am also going to apologize now because I am tempted to fill you with coffee so I can get shit done today and not nap in the server room (oh sweet sweet warmth) like I had done yesterday.

I am going to try tea first, but if that does not work...well, I can't be held responsible for what will happen.

I implore you not to enact revenge on me. I hydrate you well. I feed you things I don't like but know you do. I work all your muscles and ligaments while mindful of your tedious joints. I am good to you. Most of the time.
